July 2014
1. Write scope of work and RFP for Building Consultant:
Review LNAC report, P&D grant, library and community data; recommend and implement strategies for further data collection; work with library director, staff, and Library Building Study Committee (LBSC) to write Building Program; serve as project manager through completion of Building Program. Work with Chair of Ad Hoc Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) to facilitate communication between committees.

2. Request Board of Selectmen (BOS) to create Library Building Study Committee

August 2014
1. Issue RFP for Building Consultant, work to begin in September
2. Create Library Building Study Committee (LBSC)

September 2014
1. Interview and hire Building Consultant who will serve as project manager until Building Program is complete
2. Review project goals, timeline, documents, and data
3. Plan visits to recently constructed libraries to gather ideas
4. Plan strategy for keeping community informed

April 2015 through 2016
LBSC meets monthly or as needed.
1. Work with OPM and Town Administrator to write and issue RFQ for Architect for schematic design phase
2. Select and hire Architect
3. Work with OPM and Architect to investigate options, create schematic design and cost estimates
4. Present schematic design and cost estimates to Library Trustees, Board of Selectmen, and community
5. Inform community about project and support project as needed

June 2016 through July 2017
1. Request permission from Town Meeting to apply for construction grant. If approved, we would submit the grant by January 27, 2017 and hear in July 2017.
2. Kingston Public Library Foundation prepares for a Capital Campaign, with a goal of raising $750,000 towards the Town's local match.

July 2017
1.  Depending on where Kingston's application falls on the prioritized list of projects, residents would vote at Town Meeting and a town-wide ballot vote on a request for local funding in the fall of 2017,  2018, or later.
2.  Design development and preparation of construction documents take about 12 months. The earliest construction could begin would be late 2018.
